Original oil painting on cotton box canvas, 30" x 20". Weight before packaging; 1.965kg (~4.33lbs)
The centre of the town in which I reside, and visible from the building in which my studio is located. Within the picture can be seen a healthy section of the town's history; the Saxon Crosses, which date back to the 9th century, the town Cenotaph, and no less than three pubs. One of which, the Black Bear (seen front left), is particularly steeped in history; including bear baiting and being a favoured stopping point for the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin. Ideal for residents or tourists of the area.
